“Look at the lilies . . . don’t worry”

Our devotional reading about seeing lilies in unusual and difficult places, that their very presence is a reminder not to worry.

One of the staff shared the following thought:

“For the folks who come to The Well, we are that lily – they are not worried about us needing more volunteers, our needing new premises, or any of these things.  They look at us and they trust us and they have hope and so they don’t worry about the things we worry about, they know we will help them.”

I loved that! Sometimes it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with so many people, so many issues, so few volunteers, but just doing what we do, and being here – we are the lily for the folks who come.
